Marla Suttenberg

Starting on the manufacturer’s side of things, Marla quickly realized her passion lay in the ability to get face-to-face with her clients and support them in the field. For the next 20 years, she worked for manufacturer rep organizations covering the Northeast US. Marla’s career has paralleled the technology path of our industry from her beginnings in the ‘filmstrip’ end of our business to today’s UC/Workplace Technology/Display solutions.

In January 2001, Marla formed Sapphire Marketing. Her goal was to be a unique force in the territory, and she quickly built up a professional sales team supporting the residential and commercial marketplace. Sapphire Marketing represents the industry’s most technologically-advanced and customer-support based manufacturers, and Marla remains invigorated by the technologies and presenting them to her clients.

Marla has been and continues to be an active participating industry member on many fronts. She served on the IPRO board of directors and was the acting Chairperson of the avreps.org Membership Committee in the past. She was honored with the Women in CE Award in 2013, entered the System Contractor News Hall of Fame in 2019, and was featured in an interview with the industry recognized media outlet rAVe Pubs.
